MS14-142_Al-Takhassusi Intersection Roadlighting


ArRiyadh Development Authority (ADA) is going to implement a bridge above the intersection of King Abdulaziz Rd. and King Abdullah Rd., during the coming days. ADA has already completed the design phase for the bridge. The bridge, after complition, is expected to raise the efficiency and smooth flow of traffic at this intersection.

The 800-meter-long bridge will consist of three lanes in each direction. It has been designed in a distinguished architectural manner that takes into account the aesthetic aspects of the road and harmony with the surrounding environment. Movements will be allowed under the bridge in a way that increases the efficiency of the intersection.

ADA aims to turn King Abdullah Rd. into an expressway that serves more than 520,000 vehicle per day instead of 190,000, and also aims to create a distinguished urban, economic and social environment and make the road ready to accommodate the new railway line and the advanced traffic management systems.

The King Abdullah Rd. Development Project includes also the establishment of three 185-meter-long tunnels at the intersections with Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Rd., Al-Takhassusi St. and King Abdulaziz Rd.

The above calculations and renderings are results to determine objectively the correct Lamp wattage, Pole Layout, spacing and Height to achieve target Luminance Values.
